It's about time I posted an update on how that's going, right?
Remember how nice and pretty the pages were? After two trips to the shower, inks had run, glue had washed away and pages had wrinkled! Oh, and there were pink stains on it where the colour came out of my hair. :D
This page took me ages. Having looked around the internet, a lot of people picked a word at random and did some fantastic text art. I couldn't think of a word, so I took the instruction, 'Write one word over and over' absolutely literally.
Water damage means my painstakingly-written tiny 'one word' writing got all blurry.
Oddly enough, one page didn't get affected by the water...
"Rub here with dirt," says the page. I rubbed with dirt, realised the smears looked like a man in a ragged cloak and an elephant, and outlined the shapes. Weirdly, all the water did to this page was make it wrinkly--it didn't even wash off the dirt!
There is a page that says to hide a secret message somewhere in the journal. This is not that page.
That's it for now! I've completed lots of other pages but either don't like them enough or can't get them to photograph nicely (like 'Cover this page with white things'). So I need to play around some more. There are still many pages to complete, and many that are only half-finished!
Guess I'll update again about this once I've completed more pages.
