Yesterday I finally gave in and admitted that the ‘Indian Summer’ is well and truly over and gave my wardrobe a thorough sort-out! Away went the T-shirts and brightly-coloured summer dresses, out came the shirts and long-sleeves.
As I sorted, I realised that I don’t wear nearly enough of my clothes. I have so many awesome things that barely see the light of day! I have become ‘clothes lazy’, opting for the jeans-and-t-shirt combo all the time.
So I’m going to make more effort with dressing and post some of the results here!
To start, here’s today’s ensemble:
Hat: H&M
Jacket: Atelier Boz
Collar: handmade--see my tutorial here
Tunic: Vero Moda (bought from charity shop)
Belt: Saben by Roanne Jacobson (bought from charity shop)
Strappy top (worn underneath): H&M
Leggings: Ebay
Socks: Don’t remember
Brogues: Primark
The jacket is my absolute pride and joy. It cost a lot more than I would usually pay for any item of clothing but after years of lusting after it I finally had the opportunity to buy one and knew I would regret it if I didn’t!
Here is a better picture of the hat:
I bought this in H&M today! I’d gone into H&M in search of a belt, but the hat caught my eye instead. The feathers make it that little bit more playful. I may add something else to it, since I love to add my own touch to things.
Here's hoping I can pull a whole heap of looks out of my wardrobe and make use of all the pretty things in there. Wish me luck!
I love hats. I currently NEED a cloche but they're all for big heads. I need a children's one maybe lol! Good on you for mixing things up. :)
ReplyDeleteP.s. somehow my husbands work account is linked so I'm posting anonymous but it's me Samantha (aka Mrs H!)
Adorable, you have great style!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you were so young.
Thanks for the comment on the partridge; totally overpriced on ebay, but it either sold or was taken down, because it's gone now.
Kei (btw, how is that pronounced, like Kay?), you are a noreply blogger, did you know that?
